Update LinkedIn after your resignation is delivered—and usually after your manager has heard it from you first. Keep posts factual and kind.
Timing
Wait until notice is in writing. Some people wait until the last day or start date elsewhere. Never announce a new job at a current employer’s expense if you promised confidentiality.
What to post
A short thanks, no dunking on the old employer, and optional new role news when you are allowed to share it.
Profile hygiene
Update headline and experience dates accurately. Turn on Open to Work settings carefully if you are still employed.
